An angular abrasive produced by crushing shot balls. Used broadly for descaling steel, removing sand from castings and cutting stone across heavy industry — steel, foundry, automotive, shipbuilding, construction and aerospace — as well as stone processing.

Features

  • Produced by crushing shot balls into an angular, diamond-like form
  • Its sharp shape suits pre- and post-painting, thermal spray coating and etching processes

Applications

  • Sand and scale removal from cast iron, steel plate and heat-treated products
  • Plating pre-treatment for aluminium castings, steel pipe, castings and forgings
  • Stone cutting, pre-bonding etching for rubber, and roll etching
