Atomized Beads
Stainless Steel Bead
A perfectly spherical abrasive produced by high-temperature atomizing followed by gas quenching. Its controlled nickel content gives it flexibility, and it outperforms conventional blasting media in technical quality, economy and environmental impact alike.
Hardness (New)
≈ 220 HV (<20 HRC)
Hardness (Operating Mix)
≈ 470–800 HV (47–64 HRC)
Density
≥ 7.0 g/cm³
Microstructure
Homogeneous austenitic
Features
- The best high-gloss (black lustre) finish of any blasting medium
- Impact-resistant after blasting with minimal cracking; uniform wear suits precision surface roughness work
- Over 50× the life of glass bead, 6× that of ceramic bead and 2.5× that of stainless cut wire — highly economical
- Resistant to moisture, with low static generation during winter operation
- Low dust keeps the workplace clean, reduces waste disposal cost and minimises equipment damage
- Forms a film after blasting that prevents and delays corrosion on steel and cast products
- Non-magnetic — low risk of electrical faults and fire or explosion
